In this content, we listed the performance criteria of diapers. If you are a diaper manufacturer or are thinking of producing diapers, you should pay close attention to your quality. In order to achieve a superior quality, you should set some performance criteria and check them as a target for your institution. We have listed some critical performance criteria that are often used to measure the quality of diapers for you below:

  • Overall appearance and quality feel
  • Leak protection Capability
  • Providing a feeling of dryness on the skin
  • Being skin-friendly (cream, etc.)
  • Ease of Application – quality and success of fixing systems
  • Ergonomic success
  • Softness

Our first article is the feeling of overall appearance and quality. Mothers care deeply about this feeling. The soft touch and quality material feeling they feel when they pick up diapers are very important to them.

The second is the degree of protection against leakage. If any leaks occur in your diaper, you have little chance of selling that diaper to the same mother or even her friends again. Therefore, this is a very important criterion.

Another criterion for success is ensuring the feeling of dryness on the skin. Of course, the chemical and cellulose, which we call the super-absorbent polymer, are of great importance here. Sap and the core structure formed by cellulose are critical to preventing rashes by trapping the liquid and creating a dry sensation in the baby’s skin. The most important considerations for this are the optimum distribution of SAP and cellulose inside the core.

Our forth criteria for success is that the diaper is skin-friendly. Big brands like P&G do this by applying skin-relaxing creams to the top sheet of the nappy.

The next criteria is if it is designated as “Ease of Application – quality and success of fixing systems”. In this point, especially the quality of the hook system used in the auricles is important to open the hind ears easily thanks to the structure we call the holding tape, the loop structure on the front band is of good quality and does not dissolve spontaneously when the diaper is connected.

Now it is time to tell about Ergonomic success:

Ergonomic success is the quality criterion related to how much the diaper adapts to the baby’s body, how much it feels part of its body. In particular, the channels inside the core that we mentioned in our previous video contribute to the ergonomic diaper not to bulge between the child’s crots. The accuracy of the cutting of the diaper, etc. can also be considered among the criteria for ergonomic success.

Its softness, which is our last item, has something to do with the general appearance and quality feeling. You have to make sure it’s soft. The most important thing here is the quality of the raw material you use, the softness. Which raw material should be taken from which supplier to ensure softness in the diaper? Such questions need to be studied in detail.

Testing of Baby Diapers” which you can download via the link below:
